Meet Your Instructors
Rudy Caparros
COO, TGO Technologies / ChlorTainer
Rudy oversees all manufacturing, sales, and marketing efforts at ChlorTainer, where he also serves as the primary contact for equipment training across municipal and industrial markets. His background spans contract negotiation, equipment design, and hands-on customer service. Before joining ChlorTainer, Rudy owned and operated multiple residential pool companies utilizing chlorine gas for water treatment and ran a repackaging facility. He has dedicated his career to safety in the water industry and is a proud member of the American Water Works Association and the CA/NV AWWA Section.
Dan Thompson, P.E.
Consultant
Dan brings more than 25 years of specialized experience in the safe handling and storage of chlorine, having worked with The Chlorine Institute as well as major producers and users of chlorine across the country. His background includes engineering, hazardous materials management, and leadership roles at Occidental Chemical, where he served as Transportation & Distribution Manager and Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wichita State University and is a licensed engineer with certifications in machine shop technology, welding, and hazardous materials response.
