Ask Dan!

An industrial expert, Dan Thompson PE, has been a leader in specialized training of the safe handling and storage of chlorine for over twenty-five years at The Chlorine Institute National Trade Association in addition to various large producers and users of chlorine. He has extensive experience in chemical engineering and hazardous materials management, working with both chemical producers and equipment manufacturers. Dan has held various leadership roles at Occidental Chemical, including Transportation & Distribution Manager and Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, where he managed large teams and significant budgets.

Dan has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University and various certifications in machine shop technology, welding, and hazardous materials response.
